The nights are getting longer, the Sun is finally showing it’s lovely face and it’s beginning to look a little bit more like Summer…. well, for the moment! It’s about time to start thinking about that momentous first BBQ of the year and time to get your garden Summer ready! By now, you’ll know I’m obsessed with buying things for inside my house, but it’s that time of the year when I become obsessed buying things for outside my house.

I only spent one afternoon in my garden last year, I tend to go over to other people’s houses for summer BBQ’s and garden parties, but that’s gunna change this year, for sure. My inspiration? The Home Edit from John Lewis. It’s full of bright and bold garden accessories, whether it’s a super cute set of cactus salt & pepper shakers, or an inflatable Lobster (yes, lobster) of dreams – they’ve got you covered. I’m excited to properly decorate and enjoy my garden this year, I’ve spent so much time working on the inside of my house over the past year, it’s time to extend that out into my garden. I’m thinking tropical vibes – the complete opposite of my surroundings (Leeds), but a girl’s always gotta dream, right?! I always lust over the bright, bold colours when it comes to outside space, it helps to brighten up those dull brick walls and fences and helps to give you a little mood boost whenever you walk outside.

The John Lewis in Leeds is a place of dreams and I spend hours just walking around and taking in all the amazing pieces – especially on the homeware floor (obviously). I dream of the day when I can go in and furnish a whole house with their swoon worthy stock, but for now, I’ll have to stick with the odd treat and weekly store stalk.

I’m in love the furniture range, it’s available in 4 vibrant, summery colours – which I think would look AMAZING mix ‘n’ match style. And those salt and pepper shakers…. gimme.
