So yesterday, Tasha and I went to V Festival in Stafford. The only other festival I’ve been to is Glastonbury so it had some maaaajor shoes to fill. We went for the day so we had the opportunity to dress up like glittery festival princesses. It was nice to spend the day with Tash, we lived together at uni so I was super excited to dance in a field with her. Our favourite of the day was definitely Bastille… slightly in love with Dan… followed closely by Foxes and Zara Larsson.
Bieber mimed most of his songs, but won me back with an acoustic version of Love Yourself… who doesn’t love that song?!
Deciding what to wear was a tricky one, if you read my last post (if you haven’t, what’s taken you so long?!) you’ll know the dilemma, the weather makes it super difficult for anyone to plan outfits for British festivals. Most of the day, it was glorious sunshine, but it got to about 5:30pm and started to rain, and I mean, really rain. We got soaked, but I think that just adds to the whole ‘festival’ experience, right?
So what did i wear? Wellies for sure… They’re a British festival wardrobe staple. It’d say a good 75% of people were on the same wavelength as us, and good reason… the torrential rain i just mentioned…
I decided to go for a casual summer look. My asos wrap dress and a slouchy denim jacket. An outfit I knew would be super comfy and would be appropriate festival wear.
I obviously had to wear my new bag from La Redoute, it’s a lot bigger inside than I thought, it fit everything I needed, including a toilet roll, rain coat, socks (when i got too warm and had to take those fleecy Hunter socks off) and loads of other bits.
We went quite modest with the glitter, considering we were both wearing sunglasses all day, it was more of a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ kinda thing. *must remember to dip entire body in sparkly things next time*
