Ok, so I’ve not done one of these for AGES, but they’re some of my most viewed posts, so I thought I’d add to the collection (read bathrooms, read kitchens). Here are some of the most Pinterest-worthy work spaces I’ve come across along my many many evenings spent on instagram and pinterest looking for inspiration.
First up is Victoria from Apartment Number 4 – Her office makeover was one of my favourites of last year – the colours, the textures… pretty much everything is pinterest perfect. Pink and Mustard is one of my favourite colour combinations and it just oozes Californian coastal vibes, doesn’t it? I love the feature wallpaper, it’s a definite statement piece but wouldn’t be too distracting while you were trying to meet those deadlines!
Next up is the one and only Olivia from Lust Living – you’ll have definitely seen space if you’ve even glanced in the direction of pinterest. It appears I’m drawn to dalmatian print wallpaper, doesn’t it? Her desk is a really effective ikea hack and the gold accents really add another level to the space.
I couldn’t do anything pinterest-worthy related and not include Emily Henderson… This makeover goes to show that your work space doesn’t need to be light and bright, you can achieve an incredibly sophisticated look with dark walls and furniture. Emily has used the ever-popular mid century style but made it different, somewhere you’d be happy to work into the early hours in.
Imagine having a view like Kate from Mad about the House has when you were doing your work? She’s created an almost industrial but minimalist space and it’s absolutely stunning. The dark windows perfectly frame the amazing outlook and really help to create a sense of calm.
Medina from Grillo Designs is the ultimate Queen of DIY – her hacks will leave you in awe, she does everything herself and the results are always amazing. This is the little homework nook she created for her son, and if this isn’t pinterest-worthy, I don’t know what is!
