Payday Beauty Haul

Obviously as soon as my pay cheque lands in my bank i start thinking about make up. It’s an addiction really…

I’ve had my eye on a few palettes over the last few weeks and decided to treat myself to them all (much to the dismay of my bank balance).

The first palette I chose was the Morphe 12S Soul of Summer eyeshadow palette. It’s actually limited to 3 per customer so I’m guessing it’s pretty popular!

I’ve really been liking autumnal colours lately, in July.. I know, but the weather in England is pretty grim so I feel like its OK!

They’re all shimmery colours, something I don’t usually go for, but I think if you blend them with more matte tones, it can add more dimension to the look.

So after this arrived, looking totally beautiful, I decided I needed to go out and buy my other ‘must-haves’.

I popped into Boots ( I say ‘popped’ like I wasn’t in there for 45 minutes… ) to have a peek at their Sleek counter and came out with these.

The Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush palette in the shade Light. I’ve tried out the blush colour, it’s quite a peachy pink colour, something I was on the look out for with a slight shimmer to add some dimension to the face. The middle section is the highlight, which isn’t too in your face, but gives a nice glow to the top of your cheekbones. The contour shade is a really warm, subtle colour, something I need to warm up my pasty face!

The last palette I picked up was the Sleek Solstice Highlighting palette. I mean, look how shiny and pretty it is! It has 3 powder shades and 1 cream shade, which I think makes the palette really versatile. I tried the lilac-y shade on the right last night and it gives off a really nice, bright highlight. I’m quite a novice when it comes to highlighting, but I’m pretty excited to try out all of these different shades. I think the cream versions will be nice to blend into the skin to give a more natural glow.

I’d be lying if I said this was all I bought in Boots, but I’ll save that for another time! Have you got any of these palettes? Which is your favourite?
