I’ve talked about my love for Marks & Spencers quite a few times before, but I really do think it’s overlooked for so many different reasons. One of those reasons being their Beauty department. It’s definitely something I’ve become more aware of over the last couple of years (I’m not sure when they brought it into their stores?), their Rosie for Autograph collection has some amazing beauty products to sit alongside the beautiful lingerie and nightwear collection and obviously I have to mention the truly blogger worthy packaging! There’s a huge range of premium, quality beauty brands, as well as ones you’d see in your local drugstore, literally something for everyone.
M&S have a pretty great beauty campaign going on between the 27th March and the 26th April. Their Free Gift Event is a thing of dreams, who doesn’t like free beauty stuff?! I’ll give you a few examples to wet your tastebuds (is that a saying?!)….
Buy 2 Ultrasun products get free Pre Tan Optimiser – Perfect for those upcoming Summer holidays!
They also have 3 for 2 on Burts Bees and Bourjois… and looooads loads more!
I was given the opportunity to pick myself a few products* from the M&S Beauty collection, and I really was spoilt for choice… I decided to go for products that I’ve never tried before, I’m making it my mission to expand my beauty horizons at the moment and am really enjoying discovering new brands and products.
Bronzer was my first port of call, I’ve been on the hunt for a bronzer more suited to my super pale and pasty skin tone. All of the ones I currently own are either too dark, too warm or just too obvious. This Bourjois Delicé de Poudre Bronzing Powder looked like the perfect one for me. It comes in 3 different shades, so I went for the one that looked like it would pair well with my skin tone, I chose the Peaux Claires/ Medianes shade and I definitely made the right choice! It’s the perfect shade, fellow pale ladies, you need to try this!
Next up is this beautifully packaged Rosie for Autograph Cream Blush in Blush Pink. The texture is creamy, soft, easy to blend and really build-able. Again, for pale skin tones, this is perfect! It comes in this amazing rose gold packaging with a great sized mirror in the lid, ideal for on-the-go makeup application. This actually comes in an amazing 8 shades, so there’s definitely one for everyone!
I’m enjoying have a non-matte lip every so often, just to mix things up a bit. So when I saw this Autograph Mirror Shine Lip Lacquer, I knew I definitely wanted try it. I chose the colour Nude (obvs) and I love it. It feels really soft and silky on your lips and has a really nice applicator wand. It’s also Vegan… so yeah, another bonus!
And then, cause I obviously need more lipsticks… I chose the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Tesoro. You might have seen that I got a nude shade a few weeks ago in a previous post, so I thought I’d go for a red shade this time. I love the formula of these liquid lipsticks, they smell amazing and really do Stay All Day! This is a beautiful orange toned red, and I can’t wait to wear it in Summer. I tend to go for nude tones through A/W and brighter orange/reds in S/S to brighten my face up. These are definitely the longest lasting liquid lipsticks I’ve ever tried and they’re not too drying on your lips – which is quite rare!
And finally, cause the world is obsessed with making their cheekbones shine brighter than the sun, I thought I’d jump on the trend and get myself this Barry M Illuminating Strobe Cream. It’s a really soft, creamy texture and really blend-able and easy to build up if you want to take it to the next level. I’ll be using this across the top of my cheekbones, under the arch of my eyebrow, and on my cupids bow.
I think you’ll be really surprised with the amount of amazing brands they stock, so definitely get yourself to your nearest M&S Beauty hall before the promotion ends!
