While we’re waiting for this impending ‘heatwave’, I thought it’d be a good idea to trawl through the internet and find some pieces that will add a bit of much needed sunshine to my home (and yours if you like any of it!). Whether that’s adding in some bright coloured cushions, or changing up the scents in your home to a more fruity aroma, you can easily get your home ready for summer.
I’ve spoken about my love for H&M’s cushion covers a lot (probably thousands of times), because they’re such a quick, affordable way to instantly update a space. Their current collection, including this one, is making me want to buy a whole new set and update every room in my home.

Dunelm allow you to filter their candles and diffusers by scent, which I think is a really great idea, I’ve filtered down to the ‘fruity’ scents and can see some really lovely looking options, obviously scent perception is a really personal thing but I think there’s definitely an option for everyone in their selection. You might choose to update the artwork in your home to reflect the summer season – placed like Desenio, Junique (look out for a little discount code on my instagram next week), Etsy and IKEA offer great, affordable art pieces that you won’t feel too guilty about changing up more often. They can instantly change the look of a room, with minimal effort and cost involved. Think about having serene beach scenes, bright coloured slogans and floral or leafy prints to bring in that summer look.
