Beauty Must Haves

My dressing table is full, things are falling off and it’s a general mess. I have too much makeup (never thought I’d hear myself saying that) and I’m not ashamed to say I have an addiction to things that will make me look slightly more acceptable. Through various subscription boxes, youtube video tutorials and friend recommendations, I have developed quite the collection! So I thought I’d put together a list of my all time favourites, things that I would definitely repurchase and things my face can’t live without.

NYX Studio Finishing Powder

You might have seen it in my ‘My Pale Face‘ post. I love it, it takes the shine away from my face, which is something I thought no product could achieve. For £8, it’s a definite repurchase and is something I recommend to all of my friends, whether they want to hear it or not! Shout out to NYX for helping us wet-face people out.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in shade Cairo

This is my current favourite from this NYX range, I have 3 nudes (Cairo, Stockholm & Cannes) but this one is the most understated and subtle. I love a nude lip, and the texture, smell and longevity of this liquid lipstick is the best I’ve found on the market.

Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot – in shades Camel Coat & Groundwork

I’ve had these for years and there’s still sooo much left of them. I do have another somewhere (lost in the sea of eyeshadows on my dressing table) but these are my favourites. With having oily skin, I have oily eyelids too, so they need something that will actually fight the oil and keep my eyelids looking pretty and matte. I use the ELF Eyelid primer underneath these and generally, they last all day which to me, is amazing.

NYX Natural Eyeshadow Palette

I use the second shade in from the right every day over the Mac Camel Coat Paint Pot to set the look. All of the eyeshadows are really pigmented, buttery and ideal for the perfect smokey brown eye. I’m always on the lookout for new eyeshadow palettes, I love adding to my collection, but this is the one I use on a day-to-day basis. I did try taking a photo with the lid open so you could see the shades a bit better, but I’m new to this and can’t get my camera to take good quality photos so…. yeah.

Sleek Face Form Contouring & Blush Palette in shade Light

Another one you may have seen before.. This one was featured in my Payday Beauty Haul post a few weeks ago. I love it, especially the blush shade, it’s so pigmented and has an almost ‘glow’ so it real warms up my face. I also really like the highlight shade as it’s quite subtle, compared to my other sleek highlight palette ( also in the Payday Beauty Haul post) so I use it in my everyday makeup look.

Eyeko FAT Liquid Eyeliner in shade Black

This was one of the best things I received in one of my Birchbox subscription boxes. Like most people, I struggle creating the perfect winged eyeliner and this reeeeally helps. It’s basically a glorified felt tip, so it’s really easy to manoeuvre to make that line nice and even. It’s also a really strong black, this might sound weird, but some eyeliners that claim to be ‘black’ are more of a wishy washy grey and just look crap.

What are your beauty must haves? Do you use any of these?
