A few of my FAVOURITE things

It’s known to most, that I looove me a good list. I’ll write lists just so I can tick things off that I’ve already done – surely I can’t be the only one? My desk at work is COVERED in post it notes, that I gleefully scrunch up when I’ve finished that task, it gives me a sweet little buzz and i feel like I’ve accomplished something. It also makes me feel like I’ve actually done something productive with my day, and who doesn’t love productivity?! This FAVOURITES series has essentially been 5 lists of things I like, things i’d happily tell people about and things that feature in my daily life.

The last one in my Favourites series ( other posts here, here , here and here). I thought i’d do a bit of an amalgamation of a few of my favourite things… so here we go!

My new shoes

I got these beauties in the New Look sale a few weeks ago but hadn’t worn them until last night. Now, this was a very risky thing for me to do.. my feet are INCREDIBLY prone to getting blisters, not just in new shoes but also in shoes I’ve had and worn for years. Surprisingly, they were super comfortable and didn’t rub my feet at all. I was sure that with all the straps my feet would be cut to shreds, but no, perfect! The straps cross over in a super flattering way across your ankle, holding your foot in place and creating the illusion of a super slim ankle.

I’ve needed some black sandal heels for months, but hadn’t found any that didn’t make me look like i had super stubby legs. These were £11 in the sale, and are actually a wide fit, which to be fair, i think is just a normal width. My experience with New Look shoes recently has been that they are veeery skinny… either that or my feet have gained some serious weight? The added detail of the gold metallic band around the heel adds a cute little touch, dontcha think?

Zara Perfumes

I think i’ve posted across my social media about my love for Zara perfumes before, but I still love them, so here they are again. The first one i picked up was ‘Joyful Tuberose‘ (the pink one) and it smells beautiful. The scent notes (is that what people say?) are:
Blackcurrant, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine, musk, sandalwood, vanilla. I love musky scents, and this one is so rich and musky and for £7.99, you’d be stupid not to try it out. These are 100% impulse buys while i’m paying for my things at the till, but they are actually really great products.

Forget Me Not‘ – scent notes: ‘Cedar-Green apple-Bamboo-Rose’ is still musky, but it’s a lot more fruity and sweet, still beautiful, and probably my favourite out of the two. The scent notes are: Cedar, Green apple, Bamboo & Rose. Again for £7.99, i can definitely feel myself becoming quite the collector of these!

My new phone case

It’s pretty obvious that i’m obsessed with cats, so it would be rude of me not to buy this phone case from Skinny Dip London, right? And i’m not surprised it’s now sold out on their website… it’s amazing. I mean… Nala is a ginger cat.. and she likes to party sooo… it’s just perfect. It was slightly more expensive than i would like to pay for a phone case, but my other one was falling apart and I needed it in my life. It makes me smile every time i pick my phone up, and it’s one of my absolute favourite recent purchases.

My new Backpack

So you may have seen on my twitter/instagram that i was lucky enough to be invited to the La Redoute Summer Party (#LRSummerParty) last night. It was my first blogger event and i was sooo nervous. I knew i’d be fine when I got there, but it’s just the thought of turning up somewhere on your own, when you don’t know anybody and don’t know what to expect. I needn’t have worried at all, everyone was lovely, and it was a really fun night. I met a few people i’d been talking to on twitter, putting a face to the twitter handle which was lovely. Cocktails were flowing, there was a chocolate/popcorn bar ( best. thing. ever. ) and there was even an ice cream van, with free ice cream! We were also given the chance to try a few things on from their collections, but with me being such an odd shape, i couldn’t find anything that fit *sad face*.

We were given a goody bag to take home and this bag was part of it. I love it, it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for over the last few weeks. It’s suede and fringed, what’s not to love? There’s a drawstring fastening under the flap and a zipped pocket inside. I can’t wait to wear it to V Festival with Tasha next week!

Oh.. and Nala loves it too!
