I renovated my bedroom just more than 2 years ago and then updated it this summer by adding the slatted headboard and upcycling my ikea hemnes drawers and dressing table – but now I’m starting to think of ways I could completely transform it to make it look more like the bedroom designs I’ve been saving on instagram and pinterest over the last few weeks. It might have to wait until next year though as it might require some new furniture and I definitely need to save up for that!
I still love the rust and natural tones I currently have in my bedroom so will definitely be bringing those across into whatever I create for it’s next incarnation. I’ll also be keeping the wardrobes and flooring… but apart from that, I think I could make some real changes without spending a fortune.
The walls are painted in Egyptian Cotton from Dulux (which I love) so might keep that but add in some more subtle texture instead of the slatted headboard. Again, I love it, but it’s a bit too harsh for the vibe I’ll be going for, so maybe some kind of more traditional panelling to mirror the wardrobe doors?
So here’s what my bedroom currently looks like…
and here’s 10 bedroom designs I think you’ll love just as much as I do! (all credited below the image)

The changes that I’m making to my home are definitely inspired by the Modern Traditional styles of Studio McGee and Chris Loves Julia (featured above) along with more tradtionally Victorian panelling and a classic colour palette.

Hey I was just wondering where you got those black nightstands? My wife and I love them. Any details on them would be great!
